CHINESE HASH 
3 carrots, sliced thin
1 green pepper, sliced thin
3 stalks celery, sliced thin
1 onion, sliced thin
1 can (1 c.) bean sprouts
1 (3 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 lbs. lean hamburger

SAUCE MIXTURE:

1 c. water
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vinegar
4 tbsp. soy sauce

In wok brown and drain meat. Add vegetables. Stir fry for about 4 to 5 minutes over high heat. When carrots are done; add sauce mixture. Cook for 2 minutes and serve over rice or chow mein noodles. Serves 8.
