PEACH COBBLER 
2 1/2 lb. fresh peaches
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Peel and remove pits from peaches. Slice peaches. Place peaches in a 9 inch pan. In a saucepan combine sugar, water, nutmeg and cornstarch; mix well. Bring to a boil, boil 1 minute. Pour syrup over peaches. Dot with butter. Drop cobbler dough by spoonfuls over peaches.

PEACH COBBLER DOUGH:

1 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. milk
1 egg

Bake in a preheated 375°F oven until dough is crisp and golden brown and peaches are bubbly, about 35 minutes.
