CRANBERRY NUT LOAF 
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1/4 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. orange juice
Grated peel of 1 orange
1 c. sugar
1 c. cranberries (whole berry cranberry sauce)
1 c. nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda into mixing bowl and set aside. Put egg, shortening, orange juice, rind and sugar into mixing bowl. Mix briefly at high speed. Add cranberries and nuts. Mix at medium speed. Add to flour mixture and mix by hand until flour is moistened. Put in greased pan. Bake 60-75 minutes.
