HAM LOAF WITH CRANBERRY SAUCE
1 c. milk
1 c. soft bread crumbs (white)
1 1/2 lbs. cured ham, ground
1 lb. fresh lean pork, ground
2 eggs, beaten

Scald the milk and pour it over bread crumbs. Add to meat and mix thoroughly until no bread crumbs show. Add eggs and mix again. Put into 9 x 5 inch loaf pan, then set loaf pan into shallow pan containing hot water at least 1 inch deep. Bake at 375 degrees for 2 hours. If loaf browns too much, cover meat with foil. Pour off fat and excess juice. Serve plain or with cranberry sauce. Serves 8.

CRANBERRY SAUCE:

1 c. canned strained cranberry sauce
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. water
Whole cranberry sauce for garnish

Boil first 3 ingredients until thick. Cool; do not chill. Pour over loaf before serving and put under broiler a few minutes. Garnish platter with whole cranberry sauce. Drain the berries if too juicy.
