GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. butter flavor
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. German sweet chocolate, softened

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, flavors, and buttermilk. Add flour, soda and salt. Add softened chocolate and blend well. Bake in well greased and floured tube pan about 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees. Place hot cake under tight fitting cover and leave covered until cold.
