GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. butter flavoring
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. German's sweet chocolate

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, vanilla, butter flavoring and buttermilk. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Mix well, then add chocolate that has been softened in microwave. Blend well. Bake in 9-inch stem pan or 10 inch Bundt pan that has been well greased and dusted with flour. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. Remove cake from pan while still hot and place under a tight fitting cake. Cover and leave covered until cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
