FRUIT SALAD/HONEY FRENCH DRESSING | |
1 (15 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks, in its own juice 3 bananas, sliced lengthwise 1/4 c. olive or salad oil 1/4 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted 1 tbsp. honey 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. white pepper 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 1 c. melon balls Lettuce Strawberries Orange and lime slices Drain pineapple, reserving juice; dip banana slices in juice. Place pineapple juice, oil, vinegar, sesame seeds, honey, salt, pepper, and mustard in screw-top bottle or jar; close and shake vigorously until blended. Arrange fruit and melon on lettuce-lined dishes and serve with dressing. Garnish with strawberries and citrus slices. Makes 6 servings. Variation: Substitute 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger for sesame seeds. |
