1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. cut up sm. gum drops
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugars, shortening, eggs, and vanilla. Add flour and soda; blend well. Add gum drops and nuts. Drop by teaspoon. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
