MERINGUE SHELLS II 
6 egg whites
Pinch salt
2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar

Beat egg whites with pinch of salt until thick enough to hold shape. Slowly beat in sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time. Beat at high speed after each addition. Add vanilla and vinegar. Beat 10 minutes longer. Shape meringue into shells on buttered baking sheet and bake in 275 degree oven for 45 minutes. Reduce heat to 250 degrees and bake 15 minutes longer. Meringue should not color and be firm enough to touch. Remove to cooling rack.
