4 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Cook sugar, milk and butter to soft ball stage. Try a small amount in cold water. When it forms soft ball remove from heat. Add vanilla. Beat until thick enough to spread. Be careful not to let it harden.
