GERMAN APPLE CAKE | |
2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 3 eggs, beaten 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. salad oil 5 c. peeled and thinly sliced apples TOPPING: 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. chopped nuts or coconut Sift together dry ingredients. Set aside. Combine eggs, vanilla, and salad oil; mix in dry ingredients. Fold in apples and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle topping over cake and then bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
