NUT-FILLED BAKED APPLES 
8 medium baking apples
1 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. Pecan Meal
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg

Wash and core apples. Do not peel. In saucepan, combine sugar, water and butter. Heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. For filling, thoroughly combine Pecan Meal, brown sugar, cinnamon and egg. Place apples in baking dish and spoon filling into apples until 2/3 full. Pour syrup over the filling until cavity is filled. Then pour 1/2 cup water around apples in baking dish.

Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
