OLD FASHIONED FRESH APPLE CAKE 
1 c. salad oil
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nuts
3 c. chopped apples
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips

In large bowl, mix well oil, eggs and flour. In separate bowl, sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and baking powder. Add to mixture. Stir in nuts and apples; mix well. Spread in 13x9 inch pan. Distribute butterscotch chips on top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool and cut into squares. For best results, bake one day before serving.
