OLD FASHIONED APPLE COFFEE CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 whole egg
1/4 c. milk
3-4 apples
3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

Combine dry ingredients. Blend in butter with pastry blender. Add egg to which milk has been added. Line 9x13 inch pan with crust by patting with fingers. Cover with peeled, sliced apples in rows.

Combine remaining ingredients and blend with pastry blender. Sprinkle over cake. Bake at 375 until apples are tender, about 30-35 minutes. Do not over bake. May use sliced peaches or 1 1/2 cups blueberries omitting cinnamon.
