ALMOND ROCA 
2 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
1 c. almonds (do not blanch)
3 c. chopped nuts
3 pkgs. chocolate chips or milk chocolate

Cook sugar, butter and almonds on medium heat, stirring constantly for 15 minutes or until almonds crackle and pop, and a puff of smoke comes over the pan. It will be amber colored, or golden brown. Remove from heat immediately and spread on buttered cookie sheet. Cool and let stand until firm.

Then melt 3 packages chocolate chips in double boiler. Frost over the top of candy, then sprinkle with finely chopped nuts. Do one side at a time.
