SCALLOPED SQUASH 
Grease the baking dish. Slice squash thin, put layer of squash, sliced onion and sliced cheese. Cover with cracker crumbs, salt, pepper and butter. Put as many layers as desired. Add just enough milk until you can see it. Cover and bake until milk begins to bubble, then uncover and finish baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
