TORTILLA CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. chopped onions
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
Salt and pepper
1 1/2 c. corn chips
1 c. shredded American cheese
6 thin slices American cheese

In skillet, brown meat. Saute onions and green pepper until soft. Pour off fat and stir in tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Place one third of corn chips in shallow casserole. Top with half meat mixture and half cheese. Repeat layers, ending with corn chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with cheese slices; bake 5 minutes. Serves 6.
