DELUXE VANILLA SAUCE 
2 c. heavy cream (can evaporated milk)
1/2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tbsp. flour, plain
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Combine cream and sugar in a two quart saucepan. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. Beat egg yolks, flour, vanilla extract and salt. Stir in a little bit of cream. Then add mixture to remainder of cream in pan. Cook, stirring constantly (do not overcook) until just thickened. Remove from heat and add ice cream, stirring until melted. Strain. Serve hot or cold. Yield: about 1 quart.
