CARAMEL CRACKERS 
2 boxes (9 oz. each) Ritz Mini Crackers
1 c. dry roasted peanuts

Combine crackers and nuts in a greased 9x13x2 baking pan.

Mix in a saucepan and boil 5 minutes. Stir constantly: 1 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. light Karo syrup

Remove from heat, then add: 1 tsp. baking soda

Stir well. Pour mixture over crackers and nuts. Stir well until the crackers are well coated. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Pour on wax paper and break apart. Makes 9 cups. Store in airtight container.
