HAMBURGER RICE CASSEROLE 
2 c. rice
2 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
12 oz. can of tomato or mushroom soup
1 lb. hamburger
Salt & pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese to taste

Bring water, salt and butter to a boil. Add rice, cook about 10 minutes then remove from heat. Put in a casserole dish or pan. Mix 3/4 can of soup with rice, add a little water in can, mixing then set aside.

Make small hamburger patties, then salt and pepper to taste. Fry until almost done. Put on top of rice mixture and pour rest of soup over meat. Sprinkle cheese all over top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove foil and finish baking another 7 to 10 minutes.

VARIATION: Brown hamburger with salt and pepper. Then mix into rice mixture with rest of can and top with cheese.
