SNICKERDOODLES 
1/2 c. (1 stick) soft butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 c. sifted enriched flour
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to very slow 275 degrees. Place butter in mixing bowl. Blend in powdered sugar and vanilla. Add flour, a little at a time and mix well. Stir in the nuts. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon on a piece of waxed paper.

Shape the dough into small balls; a tablespoon will help to make balls the same size. Roll cookie balls in the sugar cinnamon mixture and place on an ungreased cookie sheet, 1 inch apart.

Bake about 30 minutes. When cookies are done, they will be a round ball, slightly soft on top. Remove cookies from the oven. Makes about 3 dozen.
