2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 egg yolk and milk to make 1/2 cup
1 to 2 c. cornflakes
Sliced apples
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg white

Cream shortening and dry ingredients. Add egg yolk and milk mixture. Mix as a pie crust and fit half into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Crush cornflakes and pat into crust. Add thick layer of sliced pie apples. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Fit on top crust. Slit as for pie. Beat egg white until frothy. Sweeten and spread over top. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Lightly frost with powdered sugar frosting.
