ORANGE ALMOND SALAD 
1/4 c. salad oil
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. malt vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 c. almond extract
6 c. torn mixed greens
3 med. oranges, peeled, sliced crosswise, and halved
1 c. thinly sliced celery
1/3 c. toasted slivered almonds
2 tbsp. sliced green onions

In screw top jar, combine oil, sugar, vinegar, salt, and almond extract. Cover and shake well to dissolve sugar and salt. Chill. At serving time, in large salad bowl, combine greens, oranges, celery, and onions. Sprinkle with almonds. Pour dressing over and toss gently to coat. Serve at once. Serves 6-8 people.
