SHEEP - WAGON CARROT CAKE 
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. water
1 c. raisins
1 tbsp. butter
2 lg. finely grated carrots
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine first 8 ingredients. Simmer for 5 minutes. Then cover and let rest for 12 hours. Add other ingredients. Bake in 2 oiled loaf pans or 1 tube pan at 275 degrees for 2 hours.
