SHRIMP RICE SALAD 
1 c. white rice (uncooked)
1/2 c. your favorite Italian salad dressing
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. sliced green onions, incl. tops
3/4 c. sliced celery
1/2 c. slivered water chestnuts
1 can sm. shrimp, drained and washed

Cook rice according to package. Transfer to a large bowl. Combine salad dressing, soy sauce and sugar and stir into warm rice. Cover and chill. Fold in remaining ingredients before serving. Cooked diced chicken can be substituted for shrimp.
