JUDY'S SOUR CREAM COCONUT CAKE 
1 box Betty Crocker sour cream cake mix

Bake according to directions on box in 2 layers. Cool and slice layers in half.

2 c. sugar
1 lg. container sour cream
1 carton Cool Whip
1 bag coconut

Mix sugar and sour cream well and add coconut, set 1/2 cup mixture aside. Spread remaining between layers. Add 1/2 cup mixture to Cool Whip and ice cake. Sprinkle with coconut. This cake improves with freezing. You may substitute pineapple for coconut, be sure to drain pineapple well.
