CORNISH PASTIES 
2 crust pie crust
1 c. finely diced raw potatoes
1/2 c. finely diced raw onions
1/2 c. finely diced raw carrots
1/2 lb. steak or stewing meat, diced
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. parsley
Water

Roll out pastry; cut 6 or 8 inch rounds. Put a layer of potatoes, onions, carrots, and meat on half of each round. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, parsley, and 1/2 teaspoon water. Fold over; crimp edges. Prick top and bake in 400 degree oven 10 minutes; 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until done. Serve with brown gravy or mushroom sauce. They are very good cold.
