AUTUMN SOUP | |
1 lb. hamburger 1 c. chopped onion 4 c. hot water 1 1/2 c. sliced celery 1 1/2 c. sliced carrots 1 1/2 c. diced potatoes 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 bay leaf, crumbled 1 tbsp. beef bouillon 1 lb. can whole tomatoes (pureed) Brown beef and drain. Add onion and cook 5 minutes. Add rest of ingredients except tomatoes. Bring to a boil and cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes longer. Serve with hot cornbread. |
