SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE 
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. catsup
1 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. cider vinegar
4 tbsp. soy sauce
4 tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 1/3 c. cold water
1 c. pineapple chunks, drained (optional)

Add sugar, vinegar, catsup, soy sauce and juice to heavy pan and bring to a boil. Add cornstarch mixture all at once while stirring constantly. Mixture will thicken and become translucent. Add pineapple chunks.

This freezes very well, but don't add the pineapple chunks if you're going to freeze it. I baste boneless, skinless chicken breasts with this sauce on the BBQ grill, then serve them with rice and steamed broccoli. Low in fat and delicious!
