KETCHUP 
6 qts. ground tomatoes
3 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
Oil of cinnamon and cloves - add later

Use fully ripe tomatoes. Scald in boiling water and peel, grind with food grinder or use blender. Combine in large (quart kettle). Place on medium heat and boil down about half or until thick. Just before it's ready to take off add a few drops of oil of cinnamon and cloves to taste. Bring to a full boil to mix spices. Turn off heat and can. Seal. Put a potato masher in middle of your kettle during cooking. This helps to keep from sticking.
