6 c. rolled oats 1/2 c. sunflower seed 1/2 c. coconut 1/2 c. wheat germ 1/2 c. powdered milk 2/3 c. honey or rice syrup 2/3 c. oil Preheat oven to 350 degrees and place oats on a greased pan. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring a couple of times. Add dry ingredients to oatmeal and mix. Stir in oil and syrup or honey to coat dry ingredients. Bake about 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes until golden. Add raisins or dried fruit when just out of oven. Allow to cool undisturbed. Any combination of nuts, seeds and grains that total 2 cups can be used in place of the sunflower seeds, coconut, wheat germ and powdered milk. |
