TOFFEE COOKIES (BARS) 
2/3 c. melted butter
4 c. rolled oats
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. vanilla

Measure oats into mixing bowl. Add melted butter and mix well. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla, mix well. Pack into 2 well greased 7 x 11 inch pans. Bake in 450 degree oven 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool before adding topping.

TOPPING:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
2/3 c. peanut butter (crunchy)
1/2 c. peanut halves

Melt chocolate bits and peanut butter over hot water. Spread over baked cookie bars. Sprinkle with crushed peanuts.
