CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COFFEE CAKE 
Dissolve:

1 sq. unsweetened chocolate in:
1 1/2 c. hot water
1 c. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. baking soda

Let cool. Next:

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Add 2 eggs, one at a time
1 c. white sugar
1/4 c. salad oil
2 scant c. of sifted flour

Combine chocolate mixture and batter and spread in greased loaf pan or divide into layers. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
