MOCHA OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP
CAKE
 
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. nuts

Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes. Add sugar and butter, and stir until butter melts. Add eggs; mix well. Sift dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture. Mix well. Add 1/2 of the chocolate chips. Pour batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle nuts and remaining chips on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, or until done. When cool, drizzle with a glaze made of XXX sugar and water.
