CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL BROWNIES | |
1/2 c. softened butter 1/3 c. white sugar 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. unsifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. oatmeal 1 c. chocolate chips Beat butter, sugars, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Blend in flour, baking powder, salt, and spices. Stir in oatmeal and chocolate chips. Bake in a lightly greased 9-inch square pan at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into bars. To double recipe, use a jelly roll pan. |
