Pour 1 1/3 cup boiling water over 1 cup oatmeal and 1/2 box German sweet chocolate. Let stand 20 minutes.

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar

1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all together. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar. Looks good baked in a bundt cake pan.
