RUBY SPARKLERS 
2 c. flour
1 c. butter, softened (can use butter)
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Red decorating sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Sift flour and salt. Cream butter with 1/2 cup sugar until fluffy. Beat in vanilla and almond extract. Stir in flour mixture a third at a time, blending to make a stiff dough.

Press dough in your hand, a level teaspoonful at a time, around 3 chocolate chips to make a small ball. Dip top in the decorating sugar. Bake in slow oven, 325 degrees, 25 minutes or until firm.
