1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. salad oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cold water or cold coffee

Sift dry ingredients into an ungreased 8 x 8 inch pan. Make 3 holes in dry ingredients. Pour oil into one, vinegar into one, vanilla into last hole. Pour water or coffee over all.

Mix well with fork but do not beat. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool. Frost or not. Very moist.
