DATE NUT BALLS 
8 oz. pkg. dates
2 sticks butter
1 c. sugar
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. pecans
2 tsp. vanilla

Chop dates in half. Melt butter in pan with sugar and dates. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat. Remove from heat and add nuts, Rice Krispies and vanilla. Let cool. Roll into bite-size balls, then roll in confectioners' sugar. Makes 6 dozen.
