CRUMB-TOPPED APPLE PIE 
Filling:

1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
dash of salt
5 c. sliced apples
1 tbsp. butter

Mix ingredients together and bake in unbaked pie crust at 425°F for 40-50 minutes. Place foil around edges of pie crust and place pie on cookie sheet.

Topping:

1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. butter

Place ingredients in small bowl and cut in butter, using a pastry blender or 2 knives, until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over cooked pie.

Bake until topping browns.
