HAWAIIAN BANANA CAKE 
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. mashed bananas
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift dry ingredients together. Add butter with fingers making sort of small crumbs. Add nuts, bananas, well beaten eggs. Quickly pour into loaf pan that has been buttered and floured. Set pan with a good thump on table to settle batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Let stand in pan 5 minutes before turning out. Wrap in foil.
