POTATOES WITH CREAM AND WINE 
3 lbs. potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 c. heavy cream
1 c. milk
3/4 c. dry, white wine
1 med. garlic clove, minced
Salt and pepper
Butter to grease au gratin pan
2 tbsp. fresh thyme, minced

(You can use 1 tablespoon of dried) or (2 tablespoons of fresh thyme).

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix the cream, milk, wine, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper. Place 1/2 of potatoes in the au gratin pan, pour half the cream, etc. mix over them. Layer the rest of the potatoes, then pour the rest of the cream, etc. mix over them. Bake 1 hour. This makes 6 servings.
