DONNA'S LOW CHOLESTEROL PEPPER
STEAK
 
2 lbs. lean round steak, cut in thin strips
2 lb. onions, sliced
2 lg. green peppers, sliced
1 tsp. safflower or corn oil
4 tbsp. butter
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar

Fry steak in 10-12 inch fry pan until brown. Set aside in dish. To existing oil and butter in pan add onions, pepper; saute until soft. Add cooked steak, tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire, and sugar. Cook on low heat approximately 1 hour. Pour steak mixture over cooked rice and serve. Serves 3-6.
