LASAGNA 
1 1/2 to 2 lbs. ground beef
2 lg. onions, chopped
2 env. spaghetti sauce mix (Lawry's best)
1 lg. can tomato sauce (29 oz.)
1/4 to 1/3 c. grated Romano cheese
Seasonings to taste: garlic powder, oregano, coarse black pepper (NO SALT)

Brown ground beef and onions, drain grease. Add spaghetti sauce mix and tomato sauce. Ia also add 1 can stewed tomatoes, chopped and with juice. Season to taste, then add cheese. Simmer about 45 minutes, stirring often as cheese will burn.

While sauce is simmering, cook 1 package lasagna noodles with scant salt and a dollop of oil added to water.

CHEESES NEEDED FOR LAYERING:

1 carton cottage cheese
1 (8 oz.) pkg. each sliced Provolone & Mozzarella cheese
Scamorze cheese, if you can find it
Grated Parmesan & Romano cheese

Layers: I - noodles, sauce, Mozzarella, cottage cheese, Parmesan. II - noodles, sauce, Provolone and Mozzarella, cottage cheese, grated Parmesan (and Scamorze). III - noodles, sauce, Parmesan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. Allow to set 10 to 15 minutes before cutting. Serves 6 to 8.
