JERRICA'S BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP | |
This dip is good for many occasions... Birthday parties, sport parties, get togethers, or just to have a snack through the day! 2 (12 oz. ea.) cans white premium chunk chicken breast (Swanson) 1 (16 oz.) bottle ranch dressing (HIDDEN VALLEY®) 1 (8 oz.) bottle hot sauce (FRANK'S® RedHot) 1 (16 oz.) bag shredded Mexican blend or cheddar cheese 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 or 2 bags of tortilla chips (for dipping) There are THREE different ways to prepare this. I will describe each way. MICROWAVE: Open your cans of chicken and drain the broth off. Put the chicken into a medium or large microwave safe bowl. Then you want to add 1/2 or 3/4 of the bottle of ranch dressing (depending on how creamy you like things) into the bowl. After you added your dressing dump the whole bag of cheese into the bowl also. Then you want to add the block of cream cheese, now its time to add your hot sauce. Put as much hot sauce as you can stand in it then stir all together. Place in the microwave for 5 minutes. Take it out and stir make sure all the cheese and cream cheese is melted. Stir again to be sure its all melted. If not melted put back in for a few more minutes until everything is melted. After everything is melted grab a plate put some dip on it get your chips and enjoy! OVEN: Preheat your oven to 350°F. While your oven is preheating open your cans of chicken and drain the broth off. Put the chicken into a medium or large oven safe bowl. Place in the oven at 350°F for 20-30 minutes. Take it out and stir make sure all the cheese and cream cheese is melted. If not melted put back in for a few more minutes until everything is melted. After everything is melted grab a plate put some dip on it get your chips and enjoy! CROCK-POT: First you want to turn your Crock-Pot on to medium/high. Then open your cans of chicken and drain the broth off. Put the chicken into your pot. Then you want to add 1/2 or 3/4 of the bottle of ranch dressing (depending on how creamy you like things) into the Crock-Pot. After you added your dressing dump the whole bag of cheese into it also. Then you want to add the block of cream cheese, now its time to add your hot sauce. Put as much hot sauce as you can stand in it then stir all together. Then let the Crock-Pot do its work. Keep checking it about every 10 minutes and stir to make sure everything is melting together. It should take roughly a half hour for its done depending your Crock-Pot. After everything is melted grab a plate put some dip on it grab your chips and enjoy! NOTES: This recipe will serve 5+ people depending on how much you eat at one serving :) If you want to make this for more than a few people then double the recipe. This is a very popular dip with my family and friends. I have never had any complaints maybe that it might be too hot but I like hot foods though many people really don't. But a good bit of people do. ENJOY!!! Submitted by: Jerrica Reese |
