JJ'S BAKED FISH | |
"NO FISHY TASTE" 2 lb. bluefish fillets (or your favorite fish) 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup FRANK'S® RedHot hot sauce seasoned salt (Lawry's), to taste freshly ground pepper, to taste 1 cup bread crumbs (I use Progresso or 4C) 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, divided 2 tbsp. lemon juice, divided seafood seasoning (Old Bay), to taste Cut any dark meat off (that's the oily fishy taste). Soak fish in milk and FRANK'S® hot sauce for 1 hour in refrigerator (deletes more of the fishy taste). Preheat oven to 500°F (as high as it will go, usually broiler mode). Sprinkle fish lightly with seasoned salt and pepper. Coat fish with bread crumbs. Place fish in well buttered baking pan. Place 1/2 teaspoon butter on each fillet; sprinkle with lemon juice and seafood seasoning. Bake at 500°F for 10 to 12 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with fork when tested. Remove fish from oven; serve directly from pan. Submitted by: JJ |
