GRILLED FLANK STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. flank steak
1 can beef consomme
1 c. red wine
2/3 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. sliced green onions
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. lime juice
2 tbsp. brown sugar

Score steak on both sides in 1 1/2 inch squares. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over steak. Marinate in refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Grill over medium coals 7 to 9 minutes on each side, basting with marinade. To serve, slice steak across grain into thin slices.
