COUNTRY HAM 
Remove hock. Scrub ham with a brush. Soak overnight in cold water. Place in a large container with cold water to cover.

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 Coca Cola
Handful of whole cloves

Simmer gently. Never boiling. 20 minutes per pound. Let cool in liquid overnight. Remove from liquid. Remove skin.

1 c. brown sugar
Dot with cloves
2 or 3 tbsp. pickle or fruit juice

Brown in oven.
