2 c. cornmeal
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1 c. milk
1 beaten egg

Mix dry ingredients together. Add onion, then milk and egg. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat and fry until golden brown.
