COCONUT GUMDROP COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 c. coconut
1 c. cut gumdrops
2 c. rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening; add sugar and beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs. Add coconut and gumdrops, then rolled oats and vanilla. Shape in small rolls and press with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
